Xert - Garmin connect

Hello all,

Considering a return to xert, can any one confirm if xert allows upload to garmin connect yet?
I can see from the front page lots of updates. However need to be sure before I resubscribe.

Thank you

stuyd Yes, Garmin Connect is supported. See margin in pic for all supported connections.

Thank you.

So I have just completed a ride over the iOS app and uploaded. However it has not appeared on my Garmin connect home page.

It downloads completed activities from Garmin, but not the other way. Workout definitions are uploaded to Garmin.

In order to upload completed activities you can use RunGap. It allows you to sync activities from Strava to Garmin Connect.

Alternatively, you can manually upload the activities to Garmin connect.

I solved this by just recording the workouts on my Garmin Edge. With Xert Magic Bucket this is really a nice setup, even if you end up with two devices (Garmin Edge + phone) when doing your workout.

Thank you this is what I was looking for, I need to workout to upload to GC.
So your preferred choice is to run the app and garmin edge, does that not mean you end up with two workout?

Would be much simpler if workouts uploaded direct xert>GC.

I record on both Garmin Edge and the Xert app, but discard the activity on the Xert app when done (just stop and press discard instead of save).

It would be nice if Xert could upload directly to Garmin Connect, but AFAIK that is not allowed except for a few apps such as Zwift and TrainerRoad.

And Rouvy, which is what I have been using for the past 18 months.
Such a shame xert can’t offer this functionality.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will try dual recording.

Rouvy would be similar to Zwift options if you want to ride around in Rouvy world while workout runs on EBC or Garmin device. Or free ride with XMB.
You can also sync WOTD to Rouvy –

But that would require subscription to both! I’ve just cancelled rouvy to try xert again. Two subscriptions not an option.

Xert is exactly the tool I want/need, just wish it uploaded to garmin direct like the others listed do.

Allowing all data to be kept in one place.

Garmin restricts the apps it allows to upload to them.

RunGap will upload to Garmin Connect if you are on iPhone:
