Xert ==>Rouvy

I had imported a couple of workouts previously and noticed the dislike of warm-up/cooldown ramps, you would think it would just interpret the ramp the same as it does their own workouts ie 2min increments, but guess thats for them to figure out!

if anyone wants to see here is some info Armando shared in another thread.
as noted Rouvy does not do ramps yet Jan 2025.

Does this require a paid account in Rouvy to see XERT workouts synched?

I am new to Rouvy, and have a monthly paid account so not certain? My understanding is that the free access is full access.

I will try again. I was on a paid account but have been using Zwift because of the integration. When I heard Rouvy integrated I checked but do not see my workouts synching.

Login to Rouvy, select Menu, Connected Apps, Xert, Connect, and Authorize the Xert connections.
I am not sure how it works atter that but I was able to do this once I created a free trial account.

I now see workouts updating. It was not working a couple of weeks ago so I stuck with Zwift. I prefer Rouvy as it is more fun to look at. I don’t care about the social aspects of apps when I am training.

How do I manually push workouts to Rouvy…or will it manually sync my recommended workout?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see the sync button on the app. I was looking on the web browser where it does not appear.

It works differently on Rouvy as compared to Zwift. Rouvy pulls the information from us rather than us pushing the information to them.

Rouvy is now able to offer ramp up and downs for their workouts. Just selected a workout in Xert and logged into Rouvy. Before, the ramp up and down was a straight line, now it builds up or down. Pretty cool!

Seems to work in their web platform but not in the app yet…

There is a Rouvy beta version undergoing testing currently. A number of changes are included including ramped workout intervals.

Rouvy 4.0.4 is now available. And ramp is available on Xert training sessions

Saw update for Rouvy, much prefer the new interface! Makes a great product even better!

Still struggling to find how to integrate Rouvy with Xert (no fan of Zwift, too cartoonish) so maybe there’s a step-by-step guide for those of us less intuitively inclined?

I’m using Mac stuff: iPad & iPhone, MacBook Pro. Trainer’s a Wahoo KickR SNAP, TrakR strapped HR monitor, bike’s a Spesh Tarmac SL-7 fitted with 4iii left crank PM.

Bought a Garmin EDGE 840 but let’s leave that for later, it’s still too new to me to be of much use until I can suss out all of what it may bring to my biking experience.

I will experiment later on today and write some notes.
Get Magic Buckets installed on your 840. It is a game changer.

Thanks John.

I’ve seen Magic Buckets amongst the array of features for Xert, been curious about what exactly it does. impressed overall with Xert in general, why I want to learn more about how to integrate it with Rouvy and soon my outdoor biking endeavors. I’m leaving my 840 for later, learned adding too many toys all a once only adds to the frustration & confusion rather than increasing understanding much.

AI comes good.
What I have also noticed is that if you go to the Rouvy app and select workouts. Scroll down to My Workouts and the daily workout is in the Xert folder.

IMHO you will really want to get magic buckets working on your Edge for outdoor activities. Magic Buckets is super useful to hit your targets when working outside.

Thanks GT, I’ll keep this in mind! I’m new to using an Edge so it’ll be awhile before I get comfy with how I can make use of the various features it provides. Getting the Varia I bought earlier this year paired with my iPhone was tricky enough! The small screen and buttons on the Edge take some getting used to they do… next’ll be sussing out whether I can use both Edge and iPhone at the same time whilst riding.

I exclusively ride indoors now (not my preferred option) and I set a plan and then ride either Rouvy or FulGaz routes to hit the MB targets. I find Rouvy much easier because of their coloured gradient lines. I just time the high and peak efforts to the red gradient lines.
