I think I used to be able to pin any workout to the calendar once selected. But recently (in the last few weeks), it’s very hit or miss whether or not I get the “pin” symbol after assigning a workout to a given calendar day. I never get the “pin workout” symbol to appear if I manually create a workout for a future date by e.g. specifying low/high/peak XSS. I sometimes can pin workouts if I choose a standard activity from the Xert library.
Has anyone else experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? Pinning workouts and then having Xert (re-) plan around them has been useful in the past, so I miss this feature.
Thanks, I had not come across that how-to before. I am on an XFAI plan and seem to be following the procedure as explained in that post, so not really sure what’s going on with the missing pin option.
You can only pin activities that are associated with a Forecast Placeholder. If you add a workout/activity using the + button, there isn’t a pin option on it.
Oh I see now! Yeah, that restriction would make sense to explain what I’m seeing.
Would you happen to know if this is a recent restriction? I find it really useful to create a large activity (lots of XSS) for races, pin it on the calendar and then use XFAI to plan around it. This is tricky to do currently. For example, one of the race days falls on an Xert-scheduled rest day and another one falls after the end of my current training plan.
