I was wondering if with all the data we have at our disposal (I’m also thinking about the top bar that depletes when doing hard efforts in the magic buckets screen) if I can use what Xert knows about me to pace certain sections of a ride?
Let’s say I want to climb a hill, Xert knows at what rate my energy reserves go down when I am pushing way above FTP (the top bar that goes down in the magic buckets fields). Is there a way to see this in a number, so that I can see in real-time “at this wattage you’ll probably blow up in x amount of time if you continue” (and if you don’t you have a breakthrough).
Is there a Garmin data field that’s capable of showing this “TTE” for the amount of watts I’m pushing (if high enough ofcourse)?
You can use the “Time to Exhaustion” data field, Use garmin connect to configure your target power / recovery target.
Nice, that is sort of what I was talking about, but here you need to choose up front what power number you want to use. I think it’s possible with their algos to have this calculated dynamically for the power you are currently riding at.
