Hi, since I started on Xert the during the winter, if i recall I’ve always been at 4 and a bit stars. I trained for / targetted events in April/May using Base/Build/Peak and was quite pleased with the results. However I’m now just about on 5 stars and Xert seems to want me to do 16-17 hours a week which isn’t sustainable. I’m on Continuous currently playing around with Slow improvement and maintain. I’ve also tried to change the plan to Event for a 38 mile TT at end of July thinking that would reduce the hours needed, but whatever I try it always wants me to do 16-17 hours a week else it says I won’t be ready, even if I set it to social paced gran fondo. I haven’t yet tried to set my plan to taper or off - season but might this be the only way to reduce my hours to a more sustainable 10-12 hours a week. Basically I’m on a fast merry go round and I want to get off - Help!
Set to Off-Season or Taper on Continuous and deliberately ride less hours for two weeks ignoring XATA and Training Pacer needle position.
Once lower hours pattern is established you can set an XFAI goal or use Continuous with a positive ramp rate or Maintenance if you want to settle on 10-12 hours.
