Hi, I had a couple of breakthroughs due to short out of the saddle intevals. This has pushed my TP to 305W and my LTP to 261W. Certainly the proposed intervals will be suitable to my fitness, but in my 4 hour endurance rides my maximum average Power was 195W. From now on Xert will probably suggest me a Target Power of 225 for my endurance rides an if i get below 195W the timer simply won’t count down. 225W will definitely not be Zone 2 anymore and even the 195W can result in a decoupling. Is there a way Xert can suggest me demanding intervals based on the TP of 305W and endurance rides where my heartrate can stay below 135 bpm an the timer counts down?
How does your updated signature PP/HIE compare to this chart?
If you don’t agree with a BT adjustment you can flag the activity which removes the adjustment but retains the strain score.
You can also manually tweak your signature by viewing last activity (or last BT activity), adjust figures below chart, then Save/(lock) the changes and move forward from there.
For example, a slight reduction in TP and increase in HIE will lower LTP. If you change your mind, you can remove the lock or enter new values and Save.
Magic Buckets Endurance defaults to a target of 88% LTP with a suggested range from 75-100% LTP.
Are you referring to the estimated workout duration for a Magic Buckets endurance ride?
Are you mostly riding outdoors? My Z2 pace is different outdoors by 5-10 pts.
Are you relying on a HR table calc or have you determined 135 is your true conversational pace ceiling outdoors based on RPE?
You can always ride by HR if you prefer to do that. Indoors switch to Slope mode or lower % on an ERG controlled workout as necessary.
Decoupling behavior on long rides will change as your fitness improves but is also subject to heat acclimation, hydration/fuel frequency, and especially ventilation/cooling when riding indoors.
I have the opposite problem. Why did I not get a breakthrough?
I’ve been training my sprinting. I decided to see how my improvement was going by doing a 30 s test. I did great (for me). My xert ebc said I had a breakthrough but xert online is not saying that. My power curve for that event is strange. My interval is above my power curve.
What is going on? I really don’t understand. (Happy to be improving though )
