This has changed everything for me

I just wanted to share my experience with those coming to xert. I have been a high level athlete for most of my life. I came from the gymnastics world. I competed as an elite up through college and I coached elite girls for 15 years. After college I got into racing bikes, like way into it. I have now been racing bikes for 19 years. I am a 40+ masters racer and a Cat 1. I came to xert last year after watching a couple of my teammates use it with great success. I had been with the same coach for years and just felt like he never really listened to my concerns. The training never really changed. I was really struggling. There were races I couldn’t even finish anymore. I thought I was going nuts. Now there were a couple issues, not just my coach. But he was just one of the puzzle pieces. So last year I started using the program and set it up from August of 2025 to peak for an 11 day long crit series in June of 2026. Over the off season I could tell things were on the way up. What really has my mind blown away is that I basically have two different types of work outs now. Yes xert does offer more traditional types of workouts, but I mainly just use the buckets, and I am either doing zone two rides and just filling the one bucket, or I am doing 10 to 15 second sprints for hours at a time, with random breaks in between. Sometimes a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes. But this is all that I do. I don’t do any minute long efforts, no threshold work, no subLT work. Nothing but sprinting or zone two. And holy shit it has been a huge change! I have always been a pure sprinter, and I am finally back to sprinting! Yes it has to be a course that still suits me, but I am mixing it up and getting podiums and top tens in national level races. I am never going to be a solo break away guy, but I can ride in a break with others, I can kick like I was 15 years younger, and all I am doing is filling the buckets. I am just blown away with what this program has done for me. Thank you for everything!
