I’m going to be doing a cross-country (Portland, OR to Portland, ME) ride next summer (Aug. 2026). The ride is 47 days and averages 88 miles a day with multiple back-to-back century days. I started using Xert a few months ago, and currently have an XATA Program (training setup) for continuous improvement (details below). I’d like to figure out the best way to set up my training plan to prepare for the x-country ride, where there won’t be any sprints, and I’m not looking to set any time trial records. Rather, I’m looking to be able to do long days in the saddle with good, strong power and not feel completely exhausted at the end of the day so I can get up and going the next day.
I’d welcome expertise on what type of Xert setup would be best to train with over the course of ~6 months leading up to the ride. Details about the current XATA program and the Fitness signature below. Thanks!!
XATA - Continuous
Rouleur: 6 minute power
Improvement Rate - Moderate-2
