I have set a target event goal and I am still in the pre-base phase and currently have IR set to off season. Is it simply a case that as my training progresses I up the IR as and when I feel I can take it or is there some other method to target a specific level for the event? Apologies if I have completely misunderstood this feature.
Off-Season is essentially “do what you want” and don’t worry about the Pacer Needle which is tracking your activities against training load goal established by current ramp rate setting.
Off-Season (-2 ramp rate) is typically used when you wish to scale back training at end of season or insert a recovery period.
