Hello,

I’m planning a long ride with a ferry boat (30 transit) inbetween.

what is the correct way to “pause” activity during tranfer, and not loose the XSS progress.

when using the start/stop - and then resume activy I think XSS is set back to zero?

I don’ think i can push power button (sleep mode) and wake up again while activity timer is still running, while i read on this forum the answer is something with the sleep.

so very pragmatically: I arrive at ferry with activity timer running, what do I press, and when continuing the ride on the other shore: what do I press to continue the ride?

I would pause the ride and put the garmin to sleep (it’s ok to turn it off too) and when you want to continue you wake up the garmin and resume the activity. All numbers continue where you left off.

This is how I do it on a coffee break.
