Is there a difference between changing a program halfway and starting a completely new one? Does Forecast AI know it’s on a program and processes past data differently, aka has some state that will be lost if you restart a program?
Why the question? I started a 5 month, goal based program (5 min power) in November as an experiment. The first month I was not following any of it’s advice but last month I cracked the puzzle and I was having a blast. Big fitness increase, without the prescriptive plans boredom.
Last week, I finalised my plans and I need to add 45 days to the goal date and move the power target from 5 to 10 minutes. I also got an injury that means only easy riding for a week or two.
I can either change the program (date + focus) and ignore it’s advice till my injury gets better or I can stop it and then start a new program with the date and focus.
What are the differences between the two options? Will the plan be different?
