My plan has given me an easy week before the Xmas then a hard week over Xmas which is not in reality going to happen.
Is there any was to foce the planner to change it. If not, if I just do a harder week before xmas will the pna adapt by giving me a recovery week over the Xmas period?
Thanks
Just plan low intensity workouts with the duration you want during Christmas, pin the workouts, and then press adapt. Make sure you are not too optimistic on how much XSS you will actually do.
Xert will then plan around the fact that you will only do these workouts during Christmas. This will be handled by doing more work before Christmas, or more work after. What it will do will depend on how much slack you have in your plan.
If you want to make sure you do not push everything after cristmas, make sure to max out your recovery the week before Cristmas. Basically you should become fresh (go from red to blue) just before your next workout starts.
Ok, I’ve got the opposite problem, how would one go about getting a harder week over Christmas, or over a week off from work?
Just pick some hard workouts? Make sure you to limit the low XSS so you will go from red to blue before your next workout.
What do you mean?
So let’s say xert gave me an easy week with 100xss per workout, would I just go and do 150 per workout, maybe even add an extra day, and go easy the next week and wait for my training status to turn blue again?
Or would I have to adapt my forecast, or would that happen automatically. Still new to xert, and haven’t read up on all the stuff.
You can increase the XSS target for each workout, yes. But there is a difference between low, high, and peak XSS. So make sure you still do high and peak XSS.
If you increase the volum your training status might still be very tired (red) when you are about to start the next workout. Then you have done too much and need a recovery day. Alternatively, reduced the duration of the previous workout.
When you are done you can just press adapt and your plan will update (I do that every day).
