It is not very clear to me what the difference is between ‘create new training plan’ and ‘update existing training plan’ in the Forecast AI Race training plan. Tha manual says ‘update exisiting training plan’ will associate your historical training, but I would think a new training plan will also take your current training status as the starting point for the plan? So if you use the same goal, what would be the difference between both options?

What they actually do isn’t really materially different to the recommended training, it’s more about visually in your Forecast AI reports (on Strava) and your Forecast Chart in Xert.
- Create new training plan = restart completely… today is day 1 of your new program
- Update existing = keep your progress so far, just update the remainder of the program (Adapt Forecast behaves like this)
The latter option might be helpful if you’re ahead of your training program, but you still want to keep the focus of the program the same (e.g. you get a breakthrough and want to set a new/higher program target while retaining your progress so far).
