Smart Intervals for zwift?
Do you plan also an integration to MyWoosh?
Looks like an enhanced version of a Connect IQ app for Garmin that allows you to free ride to focus and meet today’s XSS goal (low, high, peak strain) whether you want to ride indoors or outdoors.
Looks like it dynamically calculates the target power so your mid and high buckets fill at the needed proportion.
This and more.
As a recent subscriber to Xert this looks interesting.
Listed as Coming soon… is there any time frame at all?
Yesterday I tried out Magic Buckets for the first time on my Garmin. It was amazing! It is now my go to training both indoor and outdoor.
My method was to determine my desired interval duration and rest between interval duration in advance based on my training objective for the day.
Magic Buckets adjusted after the first few intervals. Then I used Magic Buckets to monitor and adjust my workout in real time. All my buckets were full at the end and I met my objective for the day. Pretty awesome.
Thanks.
I have a 90xss pure climber workout in the planner for tomororw.
I generated an AI workout that was three sets of 3x3min at about 400 watts. Those are effective workouts but even in slope mode I find I always end up a couple points under in HIE, but usally still enought to get the green checkmark.
Very excited to try out Magic Buckets on the trainer tomorrow instead!
XSS Buckets, for me, tended to over report high and peak XSS. I ended up below targets once the data got to Xert more often than not. Magic Buckets was pretty good, but I only have one data point.
Looks like a serious workout… did you get a (near) breakthrough here? If so your XSS values will be off.
The workout was two sets of 14x45/30 sec intervals at V02max with endurance tacked on the end to fill in the low XSS. There was a medium bronze BT.
Magic Buckets displayed a message saying I was 30 seconds from a BT. It was conveniently displayed when I had about 30 seconds left in my interval. I likely would have had a near BT without that message. The workout wasn’t designed for a BT, but once that message displayed I went for it. Small things can be motivating.
