When putting my maximum hours in Xert, should I include my commutes?
I can ride 10 hours (pure focused training hours). Besides that, I also do 2 commutes per week (2 times 2x 30m), so 2 extra hours. Should I set my hours to 10 hours of 12 hours? I always add my commutes for the upcoming week on Sunday in advance.
Thanks!
If you want the commutes to count against your XSS goal for the day, go ahead and include that time in your available hours.
Available hours primarily affects XFAI plans with a pre-populated calendar.
XATA programs operate with a blank calendar so it’s not crucial. Instead, you control hours by the ramp rate you set and what you decide to do each day.
With either program type you can add the weekly commutes to the calendar as needed.
If same route and relative effort you could mark as a favorite or title “commute” so you can add it quickly.

Great! Thanks for the reply
So if I understand correctly, it’s better to set it go 12 hours (10 hours pure training + 2 hours commute)? That way, Xert can give me 10 hours of training when I plan my commutes for the next week. I think when I set it to pure training time (10h), and I plan my commutes for next week, xert will give me max 8 hours because of the planned commutes. Is that correct or are planned rides not counted for the max hours?
