Zwift power rounding

My zwift updated today to the current version and when I then did my workout for the day which was synced to Zwift the power targets and erg mode control are no loner rounded to the nearest 5 watts, has the Zwift update fixed this issue?

Will the Xert workouts now be more realistic in zwift in terms of the power changes and a more relaxed downward power curve rather than the straight line downwards that they used to do?

I wasn’t aware of this update. I think I just pushed a workout to Zwift yesterday and the targets were still rounded, so might have been in an update today perhaps.

For the XSSR curves, probably not affected at all. They’ll still export as ramps, as that’s the closest any other platform can get - only Xert is able to calculate the exponentially decaying power target based on MPA.

Thanks Scott, yes it is the first time I have ever seen zwift not have the workouts rounded to a five for their own workouts, custom ones or ones that you send across. Not sure it will make a massive difference though but helps to keep the mind active and breakup the interval a bit seeing the number changing!

Thanks for confirming on the XSSR curves, I really do need to try and hook up zwift and Xert so I can experience the workouts to their true potential, it’s just ease of use having them on zwift and then only having to think about connecting one thing etc, I am sure it will be worth it though :+1:

Hmm… I tried pushing a workout to Zwift today (on ATV) and my targets were still rounded to nearest 5W. Maybe it’s a phased rollout.

I really enjoy the dynamic nature of our workouts, especially many of our mixed mode workouts that adapt the recovery intervals based on how the Sprints (or hard efforts) are performed. It makes for a really engaging workout! Depending on your specific setup, it’s very possible to dual record with Zwift & Xert EBC app - I do this all the time. When I’m done with the workout, I discard from EBC and save the Zwift file.

Yeah I wasn’t using ATV but a windows laptop, I am sure it will be rolled out to that soon!

If this change has occured wouldn’t it likely be listed in the change log for the Feb update?
It’s not.

Does seem a bit odd haven’t tried another workout since. There are several posts on the Zwift forum that say they had it too but it has since reverted back maybe it’s not supposed to be out in the wild yet!
