Nice
Plus the performance process podcast. Double thumbs up.
Thanks – great work, as always!
I assume Zwift will not be able to provide (the “Smart” feature of) Xert Smart workouts?
Not yet. One thing you can do is set up a dual-record with EBC and start the EBC workout at the same time as the Zwift workout. Use the skip ahead / go back interval feature in each to synchronize the intervals. Be sure to use a workout with fixed duration intervals only. You can then do the workout in Zwift with the Smart interval capability.
Excellent tip. Thanks.
About the “go back interval” – that is not available in Zwift either, just “skip ahead”, right? (Or perhaps it is possible, but I have failed to use that feature in Zwift?)
Yeah, I also just noticed the other day that Zwift does not allow you to jump back or repeat intervals. Strange.
Anyone had success with Zwift syncing completed activities back to Xert? Turned off Zwift-> Strava connection. No activities getting pushed direct from Zwift :(. Workouts to Zwift all good.
It did not work for me. I posted about it in Support, also.
Same with me.
Does a manual send work fine? (airplane icon)
For automatic operation, did you follow all the steps shown here?
Workout sync is fine (auto and manual). Activity sync back to Xert doesn’t work.
You probably need to reconnect if you had set up a connection in the past. Sometimes though, Zwift sends it to Strava before sending it to us so it comes in as a duplicate. You can try and look for that.
@xertedbrain / @ManofSteele Currently, Zwift’s integration substitutes slope mode intervals with free ride segments. While I understand the reasoning behind this, it can be problematic when training near peak power. I attempted a workout today to update my peak power, but all of my intervals ended up on flat sections, leaving me unable to hit my peak power as I ran out of gears.
Would it be possible to ask Zwift to add support for slope mode intervals? Without this feature, doing mixed-mode workouts requires very careful course selection to ensure you can hit your desired intensities.
Yes. They are aware. Atm, all slope intervals are 0% (not the grade in the game).
Thanks, I hope they will fix it. But I guess Xert is the only or one of a few platforms using mixed mode.
@ManofSteele About how long after adding to planner should it be available in Zwift (and Rouvy)? Not seeing things unless I scheduled the day before, is that expected?
