XSS Buckets in EBC??

So am I right in understand that the XSS buckets feature isn’t available on the Android EBC app? There has been lots of talk of suggesting folks use the EBC (on KingKong Mini for ex) over the years, I’m sort of surprised this also often talked about XSS bucket feature isn’t available.

Am I missing something (other than the obvious answer of “We don’t have time for that right now”)?

Thanks

Hi @tbgallant, thanks for posting. Not yet… but it’s absolutely on the roadmap for the EBC apps - in addition to supporting all the new features we’ve been working on in the web app regarding autogenerated workouts & Forecast AI training plans.

Thanks for the update!

I wonder if at least it could be added to the ‘remote player’ for indoor rides (great way to free ride around Zwift or whatever and fill the buckets)??

One aspect to consider is it’s best to hash out what works best and what people want most on the Connect IQ apps before moving on to EBC.
In that regard XSS Buckets and the new Xert Dashboard are works-in-progress but very close to being honed. That will help streamline the coding requirements for an EBC update. :crossed_fingers:

Hello, news for buckets on EBC?

Thx.

+1. Really needed for EBS on Android. Also on KARRO 3.

I don’t know what Xert’s roadmap is, but my guess would be –

  1. XSS Buckets retired [DONE}
  2. Magic Buckets finalized [DONE]
  3. Dashboard finalized
  4. EBC Android update (XFAI and Magic Buckets and perhaps something new?)
  5. EBC iOS update (XFAI and Magic Buckets)

May also see Magic Buckets for Karoo if EBC Android doesn’t fill that bucket.

Any update on EBC support for Magic Buckets? or any other cycle computer? Asking for a friend :slightly_smiling_face:

They are plugging away at it but it’s more involved than I thought. :open_mouth:
Besides the app updates there are several enhancements to XO in progress that involve XMB and Buckets in general along with XFAI.
Hang in there.

Is there any platform, any device, any anything, that is as heavy on acronyms as Xert is? I don’t think so

Hi, Question about MB.
Used MB yesterday, Focus was endurance and target was 128 XSS. I filled the bucket using the 3 activities in the picture, but in the activities it looks I only did 117 XSS, while Garmin MB said I completed 128 XSS for endurance. Why are they saying different XSS, and what did I actually do?

You got a breakthrough, which changed your signature. The XSS calculations on the Garmin will therefore be wrong.

Furthermore, do you use the same power meter in Zwift as in the Garmin Edge?

Hi, yes I use the Wahoo Kickr core as power both for Zwift and garmin Edge 1030 MB. Thanks for the explaination :+1:
