SOLVED as follows: Open Garmin Connect on your phone, select your device in the top right, select “Activites & App Management” (nb, your Garmin needs to be connected to do this), go to Activities & Apps, slect Xert Workout Player, select Settings, toggle “GPS Enabled”. I believe this should solve it. Bit of a UX nightmare, but that’s Xert for you…!
