I’ve been using Xert workout player on my garmin for 6 months, and using it outdoors. It’s been fine and records the work out to my garmin account along with mapping info which then all shows up in Strava. I’ve recently completely reset my Garmin and reinstalled everything. Now Xert workout player is defaulting to indoor workout and on Strava I get no mapping info. How do I fix this to get it working how it was?

Sorry you had some trouble. What unit are you using?
Hopefully we can get it sorted easily - I think these are the two things you’d want to check:

Start a quick activity with the workout player. Be sure to check the options in the app (tap screen or top right button for Edge 500 units). Verify that the settings are configured to ‘GPS ON’. Once that’s done you can stop/discard the activity.

Also (for older units X20/X30 series), be sure that you’re on a profile that has GPS enabled before launching the Workout Player App. With older devices/firmware, if you launched the app from a profile with GPS disabled, our app wouldn’t be able to access GPS.
I haven’t tested recently with an X40/X50 series device. Garmin has significantly changed the CIQ SDK from when the app was originally created (and awarded two time CIQ app of the year 
).

Thanks for your quick response! Really apprecate it. I’m on an Edge 1030. Should have said…! As I said, it was working fine until I did a factory reset of my 1030. I’m definitely using a profile with GPS enabled before I start the player.
