Xert Update - March 2025

Xert March 2025 Update - Change Log Summary

  1. Improved Daily Forecasted Training: Forecast AI now uses insights from the Magic Buckets algorithm to better assign daily training targets, making plans easier to follow and allowing you to achieve higher targets than before!

  2. Manual XSS Target Control: Users can now manually assign Low, High, and Peak XSS targets for manually planned activities as well as Forecast AI placeholders, offering more flexibility when training with Magic Buckets. Note: you can enter ‘Manual’ entry mode via the Toggle at the top of the modal.

  3. New Forecast Adaptation Prompt: When adapting your forecast, you’ll now see which activities will be removed and have the option to easily pin and keep the workouts you prefer.

  4. Updated Intensity Colours on MPA Charts: The intensity colours on MPA charts for completed activities and workouts have been updated. You will now find that the colours better correspond with the intensities associated with High & Peak Strain (XSS), making it easier to visualize your training efforts.

Nice update but I think the colour change does not suit, I understand your thinking but there are a lot of hard workouts that just have orange bars now. I feel red was more appropriate to how they felt; cognitive preparation.

Thanks for a great update @ManofSteele !

Yeah, I can appreciate that. Now you’ll need to mentally prepare for Red and Orange intervals

We do think the new colours will better help users visualize & understand how their efforts translate into High & Peak XSS. In the past, pretty much every hard interval was red (which would suggest Peak XSS), even if they were putting far more strain on their High system. Those moderately challenging efforts (~5 min power) efforts are now more orange-y.
