Xert Garmin Apps: Not available on watches

Good day this is a feature request / feedback. I really loved using XERT Magic Buckets on my Edge but it is sad that the garmin apps are not available on garmin smart watches. Why is this the case?

Is it in the pipeline to become available?

Thanks
Andre

This has been asked before, unfortunately without a response from Xert. Would be great to have it on my watch :crossed_fingers:

Hi @Aindriu , sorry if I’ve missed anything before. We did receive a request about this on our YouTube channel as well, so figured I’d paste our comment from there below as well:

Thanks for the feedback! At the moment, Magic Buckets is only supported on compatible Garmin Edge devices. While some watches might have the hardware to handle it, bringing Magic Buckets to wearables would require a complete rethinking & redesign of the UI/UX to make it usable on much smaller screens. That said, it’s something we’ll keep in mind for future development. Appreciate you sharing your interest! -Scott

Hope this helps!

It’s would be perfect!

As @ManofSteele points put it will be hard to fit the XMB on a watch due to the size (and shape). But maybe someone here could propose a minimal UI that would fit on a watch? Maybe reducing the amount of data shown to the minimum/core. And also making it possible to use it whilst running, skiing etc.

I imagine most cyclist with a power meter also have a cycling computer.

It would be nice to use XMB for e.g. running or other sports.

It is on the dev radar. We hop to publish BETA fields in the next week or two. Obviously with a basic UI with the essential info. Readability trumps complexity.
