Has anyone come across this before? I executed a workout in Xert EBC on my Karoo - all the power targets matched as expected and I did them all as prescribed. When I saved the ride from EBC (I do that because I like getting the visual of the workout summary into Strava), the power in the file was almost exactly 50% of what I was seeing on the screen. Luckily I was also recording in the native Karoo app so I uploaded that file to TrainingPeaks and it had the correct power levels recorded. Anyone seen this before or have an idea what could be going on? See attached images for examples.
Other datapoints that might be helpful: 1. I just had a big breakthru yesterday and all 3 signature parameters meaningfully ticked up. 2. I have a Wahoo Kickr that I use as both trainer and power source.
Wahoo Kickr. I had that same thought but the EBC app just uses the trainer power and trainer control from the Karoo - which since its a Kickr it only sends one number unlike my Garmin Vectors on my road bike. Plus the EBC app was displaying the correct power numbers the entire ride. It’s almost like something just scaled down the power numbers post ride before the app uploaded the file.
Don’t have a Karoo but instructions mention accessing EBC from Extensions to run a workout sent to EBC from XO.
It doesn’t sound like you want to dual record from the Karoo menu at same time.
Wouldn’t that create a conflict with BLE sensors or can the Karoo connect to trainer power by ANT+ and record concurrently?
I’ve been doing it for weeks and today is the first time it’s not worked perfectly. I don’t know why it would matter. The apps run independently of each other and seem to share the trainer data feeds just fine.
I just realized my whole premise for using the data captured by EBC may have been wrong. Don’t think it is “recording” the workout in EBC that gives me the visual, looks like I get it just by clicking send to Strava. Given that, I think my issue and question are both moot…
