I obtained and use a WHOOP strap that measures heart rate and especially heart rate variability and I use this device and it’s metrics to see if I am recovering well, something difficult to assess for me at least as I think my perceptions have skewed to ignore signs of fatigue after many years of athleticism to extremes. The strap was pairing with Garmin and other third party devices but recently I can’t get it to pair. I had thought that this would be an impediment to the meaning I get from XERT metrics which I am relying upon to indicate what it does better than anything I am aware of. I am relieved that XERT does not utilize heart rate data as the pairing problem becomes moot. The data remains pure power based inference. Correct me if I am wrong.
