Workout not compatible with 1040

I’m trying to use my 1040 for todays workout. I was able to send the workout to Garmin Connect, and when I check on the web page, the workout is there and shown on calendar for today. However, it doesn’t appear on the 1040 itself, even after syncing everything.

I then tried Garmin Connect on my phone. Sure enough, the workout is there, but when I go to the “Send to device” option, it’s saying that 1040 isn’t compatible. The workout itself does have a cycling icon next to it, as I first thought it was wrongly labeled as running workout or something.

One thing I noticed right away is that when I select the workout, it’s not showing any steps at all, just the description. If I open my other workouts, I can see the individual intervals, their length etc. So it seems like Xerts workout is missing the actual intervals somehow.

Any tips on how to get it working?

What is the name of the workout?

HOP - 140% and 75%. I also tried a different one before, but forgot the name - didn’t work either.

You shouldn’t see Send to Garmin Connect on workouts that contain more than 50 steps as that is the limit Garmin can handle.
That’s why it says “Not compatible” on Garmin Connect. That workout has 62 steps.
If you send a workout <50 steps it should show up on your 1040 a few seconds later if it’s up and running.
I’ll file a bug report.
