What should I put in "Target event date" ?

I don’t have any planned event where I’d want to perform, I just want to improve on the long term: what should I put in the “Target event date” field ? A date in the past ? A date in the long term ? A date in the short term then update my desired “Progression rate” when I’m there ?

If the date is in the past or beyond 120 days, your training won’t get periodized and you’ll see training prescribed according to your Improvement Rate. You will also get greater randomized selection based on your target athlete type. It would be better to choose an athlete like GC Specialist or Rouleur if you choose to train this way.
