It looks like it hasn’t been updated in three years and the reviews that are in the App Store are not promising. Did they abandon the app or something? It seems to be referenced as the best way to perform workouts in there documentation, so I’m wondering if I’m missing something.
An update to the Android app is currently in Beta. The iOS app is next in line.
I have been running the iOS app with my indoor trainers for years without any issues.
The only discrepancy is the top of the Train page displays information for XATA programs.
Since your program type is XFAI based, you should review the Training page online instead (xertonline.com).
Sometimes not updating an app can be a good thing.
I use the IoS EBC app and whilst it is quite simple, it is also effective.
I use it when I’m riding indoors and it still works fine. Some updates might be nice but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it can apply too.
You can’t do Magic Buckets rides with the iOS app, right? Only with a Garmin Edge or the beta Android app? If that’s the case, that would be a good reason to update the app…
