Hi, I recently started a Forecast AI Plan for a Event in April and am trying to follow the suggested Trainings, so far it works pretty well. But I read in the forum that I should not focus too much on the the weekly hours but rather the XSS. If this is correct, why do the weekly stats in the planner show the hours done/planned and not the XSS. I can check for every day, how full my forecasted and completed Bucket (Peak, High, Low) is and its status in green, orange and red. In my opinion it would be helpful to have the same view over the whole week… or am I misunderstanding something?
And another question about the weekly hours. How does the Forecast Chart (in the Training Tab) calculate the past weekly hours? I shows 2.9h although I did 8.9 according to the planner…For the present week, it seems to be showing the hrs done till now (would be nice to see the planned value too).
In the planner you can via “calendar settings” (the gear icon) on the upper right, control what metrics appear below each week. You can add Total XSS, XLSS, XHSS, XPSS metrics to show the weekly totals (for Total, Low, High, Peak stress respectively). You could also remove hours if you didn’t want to see it.
Depending on what training program you are running the weekly metrics may be more or less important to keep track of.
Re: event goals. Definitely focus on matching the XSS from the forecast workouts. As you get nearer the event date and your training status improves, the hours & intensity of training should increase until you get to the taper week. It’s not a huge difference in overall weekly time, but for instance a Z2 ride early on might be 2 hours, increase to 3 hours, and then require 4 hours near the end of the training schedule (depending on the event parameters) to meet the required XSS. E.g Z2 workout XSS might start at 160, increase to 200, and end at 260.
