Understanding Target XSS while Running Forecast AI

Hi,

I have been using Xert for a few years now and I love it, but looks like I don’t understand the field Target XSS while trying to get a Training Program generated with the Forecast AI.

I have my data from previous seasons and I can tell how far in my training I can go. Most of my races (2 to 2.5 hours MTB Marathon Sprint) reached over 300 XSS.
But when I try to generate a Training program, it tells me: “Your target is not achievable”. Based in my experience, I’m setting an event far enough to train and be ready for an Event that will require a XSS of over 300. Am I understanding wrong the Targe XSS field/parameter?

This is a screenshot of the Forecast AI.

This is a screenshot where you can see the end of last season and how much higher my parameters were comparing with the generated Program (with XSS 200 which was the higher number for which the AI was able to provide a training program.)

Try switching to Breakaway Specialist in the Program dialog box then raise XSS as high as it goes before changing to red.
Is the rise in Target TL a reasonable amount of hours you can commit to prior to the event?

That worked! thank you. I used XSS 320 and now the progressions looks much more like I wanted.
I’m doing 5 months of training before the races start.
I can typically do 8 hours a week but I plan to do 12 hours during the last month of the base period. I don’t think I need more volume for races that last 2:30 hours tops, and I don’t have the time anyway :).
