Thoughts on New Wahoo Integration - Target Watts & TSS Accuracy

Hey Xert community,

I’m excited about the new Wahoo integration, but I’m finding a couple of things could be improved:

  • Target Watts Display: Currently, the target watts are displayed as a range (e.g., 150-200W). This makes it difficult to know exactly what power level to target during the workout. I’d be much more helpful if the specific target watts for each interval were displayed.

  • TSS Accuracy: I’m noticing some discrepancies between the TSS calculated by Xert and what I would expect based on the workout intensity and duration. Could there be some issues with how TSS is being calculated with the Wahoo integration?

I’m hoping these minor tweaks can further enhance the already excellent Wahoo integration experience.
Has anyone else encountered these issues? Any workarounds or suggestions?

Xert doesn’t calculate TSS, but XSS. They are not the same.

So why is the xert screen on the wahoo displaying TSS ? Also its clearly wrong whatever it is.

Xert sends workout files to Wahoo to be run on a Wahoo head unit in whatever format Wahoo supports. The Training Stress Score is calculated by Wahoo.
In your example it appears something is amiss with what got sent to Wahoo so I suggest you report the problem to support@xertonline.com.
While TSS and XSS may be close for many workouts they won’t be the same number.
Xert Strain Score is caclulated differently and is tied to your fitness signature.

It looks like IF is infinity, so that is probably the problem. Probably the file is not exactly as Wahoo expects it. Maybe the FTP is set to 0 for some reason. 65535 is the highest unsigned 16 bit number, so it indicates that there is some kind of overflow here.
