While on rides, I will hear a beep from the Edge 1040 and try finding where the beep came from. I have noticed that the Xert Dashboard data field will have a toast message (popup) that says “temp dev change” or something similar. I haven’t been able to get a screenshot yet to get the exact message. Any light that can be shed on what this message means??
It’s possible you’re using a very old (outdated) version of the data field. You can check for an update or wait for a couple of days until we push the current beta Dashboard to production for all users. It seems to be rock solid so far.
Thanks for the reply. Connect IQ says I’m on the latest version of the dashboard data field. I am now running the Beta alongside the old version. The Beta looks great. The only thing that has raised an eyebrow is there appears to be a lag in the Beta detecting and/or updating the display for the gradient of the hills.
The Dev Temp Change happened 3 times on today’s quick ride. I did manage to capture one today. No worries on what it is but the only 25.3 and 24.2 numbers I can think of are HIE. Maybe my HIE is changing during the ride?
Keep up the great work. I’ll go to the Beta version exclusively when it’s released. Be sure to give us details upon details upon details of what each of the different fields means on the dashboard.
I will uninstall and reinstall just to test this one out with the Dev Temp Change message. The version is not displayed on this version of the dashboard like the Beta and Magic Buckets so it’s hard to know what you’re using. I had tried Garmin Express (which I hate LOL), the Connect App and the Connect IQ.
Garmin’s auto updates don’t seem to be as reliable as I need them to be!!
I have confirmed you may see that message on current release and can ignore it.
Issue is resolved in Beta version but you could simply wait for next update to official release due out soon.
Thanks for the update. I’ll wait for the update and you are correct, I do not notice the message using the beta at the same time as the official release.
