I am in a taper week because this weekend I have my TT over 40km. The training advisor acknowledges the fact but I wonder if I should change my improvement rate to taper as well, or can I leave it as moderate? Thanks.
Moving it to maintenance, taper or off-season, you’ll see a lighter overall load for the week as compared to previous weeks. Leaving it as moderate may be ok since your weekly load may not be inducing a significant amount of tiredness whereby the exact quantity of training for the taper needs to be reduced and precisely timed.
