Syncing from Strava vs Garmin Connect


Any differences between these two? Strava doesn’t show some of the metrics of Garmin Connect (left / right balance for example). Is it better to sync directly from Garmin Connect so Xert has (in theory) access to more data? Or it doesn’t matter?



I tried different ways (via Garmin Connect, via Strava and via upload), but couldn’t find any difference in results. So I went on with Strava, as this account is “clean” and my Garmin Connect account is a multi-device-mess.

The one thing you’ll notice is that workouts done with our players will have the target power when the rides come from GC. Strava strips this data out. It is stored as a FIT 2.0 Developer field.
