Surprised there isn’t a way (I could not find it) to sync the planner with my iCal (or google calendar)
TrainingPeaks offers it and I find it useful when I’m planning my day to see what’s coming up and plan for the specific workout (specifically nutrition, as I hate to go empty into an interval workout).
Xert does not provide this, I have created this endpoint for myself. It basically shows all planned activity in your calendar, including placeholders. Completed activities are not shown.
After importing my current plan (from end of Dec till end of May, i. e. quite long) will it be possible to adapt these, in case my Xert plan changes (which certainly will happen), in an automated manner, or only manually in Google calendar?
How to import only some of the planned activities, i. e. only next week plan?
Hi, you do not really “import” it. Most/all calendars will just subscribe to the feed and update it once in a while. This means that it will only be a read only view of Xert.
I only created this for myself really, but there is really no reason so only import a subset as it is automatically kept in sync. It only shows the forecast activities btw (Forecast AI).
hello, I use Google agenda and for me your link will create a .ics file and the only way for me is to open this file in Google Agenda, which will effectively import the dates planned by Xert, and I’ve then got to clean and maintain/delete duplicates.
Hi Hans, would it be possible for you to share your GitHub repo for the endpoint that you created? I’d love to replicate it and use it for GCal integration to Xert. Thanks!!!
Sorry, but the repo contains too many other things. But it should be easy enough to connect to Xert Online and extract this information. What are you trying to do BTW?
I wanted to try to create a “live” endpoint for Google Calendar to show my Xert planner in Google Calendar. It looks like yours sort of does that, so trying to figure out how to expose that endpoint.
Love the idea of this tool! Any trick to getting it to work? I added the URL to my iPhone as a subscribed calendar, added my credentials and nothing. I’ve tried to force a reload by pulling down on my calendar list as well as deleting and readding the subscribed calendar double checking my credentials don’t have a typo… I typically have migrated workouts to TrainingPeaks to get them onto my iPhone. Once they are on my phone I have an automation to check each night for the next day’s workout and automatically set an alarm 30 minutes before it’s scheduled. This workflow would save me a few minutes each day so would be a great improvement to my process… thanks for building it.
Ha, I suppose that was a question for you @hpbieker. Had to go back and look to see who created the tool. I think that may be my problem. I’m not using forecast AI, I’m just manually scheduling workouts. I’ll test it the other way and see what happens.
