Sudden drop of treshold power and jump in weekly deficit

Hi, I am new to Xert, just started this week. I started a Base-build-peak program and did my third ride yesterday but after doing the ride and checking the my fitness page my treshold power had fallen from 195 to 156 and my weekly deficit went from about 160 to 2861 xss. I didn’t finished todays workout do to time constraint but did a little over half of it, could this be the cause of the problem? Did I do something wrong or if this is normal?

There is a problem with your activity data or another setting affecting your fitness signature and training load.
Check your activity table for any obvious errors.
If you don’t see anything unusual file a support request with support@xertonline.com.

Lucy’s are over/under LTP workouts so normally they should look like this –

I just noticed you flagged the activity and saved/locked the signature at 156.
Do you feel 195 is a valid TP number at this time?
If so, go ahead and unlock the activity, set TP to 195 below the chart. then select Save.
What does the chart look like after doing that?

Flagging suppresses signature calculation while retaining the strain analysis.
Save (lock) is useful when making a manual adjustment (like changing TP) and you want to use the adjusted values as a reference point moving forward.
Extract can be used when an activity includes maximal efforts and you want to tweak something and test the effect.

The chart looks like this after making the suggested adjustment. Ater making the adjustment the treshold power went up to 193, but my weekly deficit still about 1600 xss. I dont see any obvious errors on my activity table.

Post a screenshot of your XPMC (Progression tab) set to 3 Months if you have less than 90 days of historical data on file or set to Year-to-Date if you have more.
Is the history comprised of only cycling data with power?

Since I am on the free trial I think it only loaded the past three months of data. I had only synced with garmin but before this screenshot I also synced with strava and it may have fixed the problem? My weekly deficit went down to 269 xss. All the activities should be cycling with power meter, unless walks are also synced.

Looks normal now. :+1:
You can control what syncs from Strava here.
Should look like this –

The Training Pacer gauge reflects an average weighted XSS over a rolling 7-day window.
It’s important to note that a deficit/surplus does not carry over from one week to the next.
The current deficit/surplus value is in relation to the Noon position on the gauge.
As long as the needle hovers between 11am-1pm position you are on target to maintain the Improvement Rate you’ve set.
You can change the ramp rate at any time. For example, if you are constantly dipping towards red from week-to-week you can lower the rate. Or you can accelerate a progression by raising the rate temporarily to perform a training block at a higher load.
You may also see jumps in deficit/surplus from one day to the next since the advice reflects what you have done recently on same day of the week.
You might, for example, ride long on weekends and short workouts during the week. The daily advice will reflect that.
OTOH Xert is flexible, especially when on a program like XATA Base-Build-Peak.
You can choose to ride more or less than the daily recommendation, or skip a day when you have to, and Xert will adapt moving forward.

Note: Not all features are available in the 30-day trial. See Feature Comparison Chart.
