Strange trainer resistance using Xert EBC on Android

Hi, I’ve had a similar issue on the last couple of workouts I’ve done via the Xert EBC app. I have it running on an Android phone connected via bluetooth to Tacx Flux S trainer.

During the smart ‘rest’ intervals the trainer resistance fluctuates intermittently, rather than let me rest at 120 watts, it pushes the resistance up to near 200 watts suddenly before releasing again and it does this repeatedly. In the screenshots below you can see the power variance during the resting intervals. There were also some issues during the high intensity intervals as you can see below. The warm up interval works fine, but problems start after the first slope mode sprint interval.

Any idea what might be happening? Thanks!

First thing that comes to mind is that some other application is also trying to control the trainer.

As @elpapi mentions the issue typically indicates EBC is in contention with another app connected by BLE. Make sure no other app is running that pairs to your trainer.

I suggest riding all fitness test workouts entirely in Slope mode using gears/cadence to meet or exceed targets and durations.
