Seiler 4x8 -> Endurance?

I was browsing through the different ‘standard’ workouts which are part of Xert, and I found the Seiler 4x8 workout. what surprised me though was that it is considered an endurance activity. Is this correct, it seems like quite a hard workout…

That is correct. Xert’s determination of workout type is based on Focus duration (and therefore, the accumulated low/high/peak strain). Since the activity is mostly around threshold (~106%), this workout isnt too taxing on your HIE system. However, with a maximum difficulty of 85, it is fairly difficult to complete. Cheers!
