Running settings

I run two accounts, one for me, one for a mate. I do a bit of running in addition to mostly cycling, and the runs sync in with an ‘appropriate’ level of stress. Looks sensible.
However, my mate’s runs come in as massive BT’s every time, scoring 500 XSS for a normal-paced 10k. What setting needs to be changed on his account to revalue the running inputs? Thanks!

Create a separate run sports profile. He is most likely recording the runs with run power (e.g. with a Garmin watch). This power should not be mixed with the power from the cycling activities.

Thanks - that explains it. Mine is just HR-led from Apple Watch but he’s on a garmin watch. Have split the profiles, allocated events accordingly and it looks a lot better on both.

I also run in addition to (mainly) cycling. If I add a running profile then I think that does not affect how tired I am in the cycling profile, so I will be more tired than Xert thinks. I strip out the power from my running activities using fitfiletools and that seems to work well for me, the heart rate derived stress is pretty close to how it feels.

If there is a way of combining the stress from 2 profiles then I will give that a try.

A drawback with that approach is Xert will adjust your fitness signature based on how much you run as well. The training effect for cycling by running at a given heart rate is not the same as if you where cycling, bust Xert will adjust your fitness signature as if you where cycling.

You are correct which I guess means that the only way to get it right is to have 2 profiles but use the Freshness Feedback slider in the cycling profile after a run to correctly represent how I feel. I might try that if you think it makes sense.
