Just curious how you denote what level someone is at? I am a 43 year old Triathlete who finished 12th at the Age Group World Champs, have an FTP of 270 and including swimming and running do around 10 hours a week of training. But I only have one star on my profile? Is this correct? Many thanks.
Paul, training status is not a function of your fitness (threshold and other parameters) but a measure of how much training you’ve been doing. Have a peek at our Fitness Prediction and Potential blog as it explains the various star ratings. Generally speaking, increasing training load improves your fitness numbers but it also improves how much strain you can handle. If your current training status is low (recreational), it is likely because you either don’t have a lot of data in the system and/or you haven’t been training much recently.
