Race infos issues with forecastAI (and Xert in general)

Master cyclist here, racing all summer. Using forcast AI right now. Briefly, I am unable to:

  • enter multiple consecutive days of racing.
  • enter more than 1 race in the season (currently adding past races (activities) of similar duration /intensity in the planner and pinning then for the AI to adapt the plan). Will not work for consecutive days of racing as the AI is not able to create a proper taper.
  • select time trialing as a type of race with minimum race duration for any other race set @ 1 hour (our time trials between 20 and 30 minutes)

Am I the only finding this strange as most competing athletes will do more than 1 race in the season and stage racing, which often includes a TT, is common.

thanks for your help.

It sounds like you’ve already applied tips and suggestions mentioned here –
Training for Multi-Day Events and Stage Races with Xert – Knowledgebase
Is the short TT a stage during the event? Option A, prepare for hardest stage?

Yeah. Relatively short TT. 30 minute effort. The hardest event is the road race, the following day. If I put the road race as the race day (the biggest XSS), and add manually the TT effort (copying a simlar activity from the past), the AI bugs and is not able to generate a proper taper week. I guess I could do the opposite, use the TT as the race day, and manually add the road race estimated requirements manually. Must be a way to improve this I would think.

I feel exactly the same. It’s really hard for me to put my race calendar into Xert. I’m training for two different types of races, and have to put my complete “focus” on one of them.

I’m by no means a software developer, so if this question comes off wrong, I’m really sorry for it, as it’s a genuine question, without any technical knowledge about AI systems.

Wouldn’t it be possible to have an AI feature, which plans a whole season out? Like Race AI, but instead with multiple races categorized in priorities?
