I’ve been using the magic buckets on Garmin this past week and have noticed a puzzling discrepancy vs. the webpage fitness planner. I’m using the Ai planner. on the fitness planner if I’m given a pure endurance day the default endurance power target interval is 234 watts for myself. What Ive seen in MB is a target wattage of ~208d watts.
any reason for the difference? In the past I’ve pushed up to 234w for the ride. Is this 208 an average wattage? or?

Hey Doug, good question!
Magic endurance’s sets the starting target power at ~90% LTP, whereas the website (as is) will recommend low intensity days at LTP. I think most people will find riding at an average of 90% LTP is more sustainable, while remaining a time-efficient pace.
We’re seeing lots of cool new things from Magic Buckets. In fact, we think we can make some nice improvements to the ‘training recommendations’ sections - especially high intensity days - based on Magic Buckets.
What you’ll notice while riding with endurance is that as you ride near the target power, you’ll see all the buckets start filling up, but the center and right buckets will lag a bit behind the Low XSS bucket.
