How can I tell if there are power spikes in my workouts? A couple of times I’ve found from looking at Strava that my power meter had a momentary glitch and recorded a bogus high power value that threw all the calculations off. On Xert the activity looks normal in the summary, but I know that I had one where the spike messed up calculating my fitness signature. How can I tell that there aren’t others? An example is my latest activity, which has normal power numbers on Xert, but one 1000w momentary spike on Strava.
Hi Brian, Xert will filter out many power spikes. Some sneak past the algorithm though. To find these, use the Activities Table, add Max Power as a column and sort by it. You can then spot those with potential power spikes.
