Partnership with Magene or a similar manufacturer and metrics

Hello,

I have been using your app for half a year now, and I have formed some opinions about its usability that I would like to share.

The app is good — it has all the necessary metrics, but I would like to suggest a few additions:

Would like to be able to see the interval chart simultaneously with the following information:

  1. The remaining time until the end of the interval, displayed at the very top of the screen.

  2. Information about the power value for the next interval, shown directly on the interval chart.

  3. The ability to see hundredths values (low, medium, and high XXS). Currently, after the value reaches 100, the app stops showing decimal places (tenths).

  4. Instead of displaying the end time of the workout and endurance time, I would like to see:

  • heart rate;

  • cadence;

  • carbohydrates burned (to help plan nutrition during the workout);

  • the most important thing — the pedal pressure value for both legs;

  • overall XSS.

Here is how it currently looks:

Here’s how I would like it to look:

  1. Moreover, using a smartphone mounted on a bike computer holder nearly cost me 25,000 rubles during a recent training session. When I entered a turn on poor-quality pavement, the vibration caused my mount to be completely torn out of the handlebar — along with the holder itself — because my 200 g smartphone was too heavy for that setup. Would really like to buy an affordable Garmin device and use Garmin Connect to access Xert, but such devices are very expensive. What about partnering with Magene? Their bike computers are just as good as Garmin’s, but cost significantly less. I would be happy to use your app on a different brand’s bike computer — just not on my phone, which is too expensive for me to risk, especially when there’s a chance of damaging the handlebar in the proces

What brand handlebar and mount is that?
The threaded inserts on the bar.look iffy to me considering the amount of leverage involved.
For a lighter weight phone option consider a 4" mini phone available on Aliexpress.
Make sure battery is 3000 mAh battery to support 6-8 hours rides.
I don’t think I’d trust a full-size phone on anything other than a stem mount with quarter-turn adapter close to centered on the phone case.
Example: (Quad Lock with flat bar adapter)

For Xert integration to work head units need to include a development platform that supports add-ins.
Connect IQ does this on Garmin devices and the Android OS version on Hammerhead Karoo supports extensions from 3rd party vendors.
You could ask Magene if they intend to offer this feature in the future. It requires a capable OS and Magene’s willingness to support an SDK.

Makes sense, having a development platform is key for supporting add-ins. It’d be interesting to see if Magene plans to offer an SDK for third-party extensions in the future.
