I have been using this setup with Zwift, Garmin 1060 with Xert Magic Buckets for more than 1.5 years and it’s been working fine. But, since a few days back (2-3 days I think) I no longer get any XSS in the MB interface on the Garmin 1060. I get power and cadence. I also get zone-% and fat-% but the XSS remains 0. What has changed the last few days? or what do I need to do to make it work again? I only have very basic Garmin 1060 knowledge. In my opinion the menus and interface logic is very bizarre.
Do you mean Magic Buckets shows the low/high/peak targets, but you don’t accumulate XSS against them?
That would mean your power meter isn’t paired and connected under the Garmin Sensors.
Home Screen → Menu (three lines) → Settings → Sensors
Your power meter should be listed (barbell icon).
If listed but not paired, tap and enable it.
If not listed, select Add Sensor, Power, and make sure meter is awake.
In the MB interface, I can see the power and cadence numbers, and they match the numbers from Zwift, So I guess the Garmin finds my trainer/power.
It also appears that MB is not getting the daily targets from Xert. This also stopped working a few days back. The trainer is alive and well, since Zwifting is no issue.
I’ll have to check the settings more in detail tomorrow and follow your instructions and see if I get an clues. Thank you
If Magic Buckets fails to fetch XSS targets from XO server, you should see a fetch error and the small dot on left won’t turn green.
You could remove then reinstall Magic Buckets on the Garmin.
Record a short test ride and save.
That will re-register the app on Xert and you should seet a “successfully registered” notification on XO (xertonline.com).
The current version of XMB is 10.8.
