MyWhoosh

Hey there,

just want to ask, if there is a possibility to put the Training to the platform “MyWhoosh”, or if there is something planned.

I know that “Zwift” is now working with Xert, but iam riding @MyWhoosh.
Maybe there are some more people riding at My Whoosh.

Thanks in advance

For that you’ll need to ask MyWhoosh.

We recently added a “workout of the day” API for Rouvy and other platforms to use.

Feedback: They want to head into it in 2025…
i would have liked a more precise answer, but the year is young and i don’t want to ask for too much

how does the workout of the day show up in Rouvy? I am just trying out Rouvy so not sure where to look.

Rouvy automatically grabs your workout of the day or you can use the SYNC CONTENT button to retrieve your currently scheduled workout.

Thanks Armando. One more question. I tried to transfer a file with a smart ramp and it simply made it a straight average single wattage segment. I could not see any way to make a ramp for a workout segment in Rouvy. Is there an option for a ramped workout segment?

Would be better to open a new topic instead of putting Rouvy Stuff into My Whoosh. Just my 2 cent…

I can see your point except I was responding to a specific item in this thread. A moderator could move it if they wished.

Ramps aren’t supported yet in Rouvy.

Hi Wkt
Have you learned anything about this topic yet? I am new here on Xert, but been riding on Mywhoosh for a while and would like to use them together as good as possible.

The new 4.0 update allows you to upload workout files via the MyWhoosh website. MyWhoosh workout editor

Download the .zwo from Xert and upload via the editor. It’s a few more steps than is ideal but a big step in the right direction.

I wanted to write you exactly the same thing as Whiskeybeard. I also tested it yesterday. However, I noticed that some .zwo files from Xert are completely empty. One exemplary Active Recovery unit worked, another was either empty or did not get into the library of MyWhoosh.

Different topic, but also relevant: The sync between the iOS app and the browser version doesn’t always work. The “workout ready” in the app sometimes shows different workouts than the ones I have planned in the browser version.

Also relevant: The sync to my Wahoo doesn’t always work either. Sometimes the training only appears after I’ve completed my ride…

My last point of criticism: I think that Xert should be more proactive on the subject of MyWhoosh. It’s great that we as User are approaching My Whoosh, but Xert should also have an interest in creating this interface. You would immediately be visible to many people on the platform.

Looks like most simple workouts import okay:

From my quick testing, it looks like the exception might be #MIXEDMODE workouts. Doesn’t seem that other apps are able to support Free ride intervals that still have a power target. Only the Xert EBC is able to handle these & switch your trainer automatically between ERG & Slope modes.

It also looks like these workouts don’t set the FTP for you (maybe it would if I had an account? Maybe someone can test/confirm that for me).

Short Feedback:

Downloaded the .zwo file, imported it to the " My Whoosh Workout planner", everything fine! Exported it to “MyWhoosh”. Started “MyWhoosh” on my Tablet, workout not there, BUT that’s not up to Xert. Xert’s fine! I had the same days ago…sometimes you have to wait a little bit…I’ve waited 15mins…workout still not there…repeated the import & export…there you go. Now instead of “Lucy in the sky with diamonds - 60” I see the workout “My new workout” in the library. Again…that’s not up to Xert. Important: Yes, unfortunately we have a workaround here, but we can handle that.

Also important:

In my whoosh I have a FTP of 301w (my last 20min test). In Xert I have a calculated threshold Power of 273w. Keep that in mind while uploading!! the consequence of this setup will be that you will have to train harder than planned in Xert!

Hi Wkt, whiskeybeard, ManofSteele,
thank you all for sharing your knowledge experience. I did as per your guys suggestion and everything worked fine. I also had the “problem” with the name of the workout being “My new workout”, but this can be changed/adjusted in the “My Whoosh Workout planner” before exporting to MyWhoosh.

In regards of the FTP, i noticed the same “problem” as Wkt that MyWhoosh FTP is higher than Xert Threshold Power. (except my numbers aren’t as high as Wkt)

My question: In The “MyWhoosh workout planner”, you can adjust the FTP for the workout. Is that recommended to do, and basically change the FTP from MyWhoosh to match the Threshold Power of Xert?
I assume the zwo. file works in relation to the FTP/FT rather than actual wattage targets that were exported/callculated by Xert. Is that correct?

That is how the Zwift API works with Xert where your Xert TP updates Zwift FTP during sync.
You’ll need to manually update FTP in MyWhoosh.
ZWO files contain %FTP targets.

@Michagamper

good question. i leave my ftp in the workout planner and still have the option in mywhoosh to lower or even raise the %, depending on my daily form. of course i try to reach my 100%, as i want to raise my ftp in the long term. but there’s no shame in lowering it either. you don’t have top form every day. i would listen to your body.
