MPA not descending correctly - Xert EBC Android app

Hi guys,

Quick question here. I’ve got a couple of trainers (Elite Suito T and Van Rysel D100) in 2 different cities with 2 different bikes on them, with which I use EBC Android app. Everything working seamlessly from a sensor and workout perspective, but the Van Rysel one is bugging my head off.

Basically in every workout the MPA value is descending very very slowly compared to what it is supposed to.

You can see in the attached pictures that after some 30-30’s the MPA is not as low as it should have been; in the aftermath online analysis everything seems correct since it seems the server has sorted that out.

Any suggestions on this? Could it be a power smoothing problem? Van Rysel trainer seems to do it every single time while the Elite is not and with that trainer everything MPA related is ok.

Thanks!

Hello, any idea on this?

Seems like something is stuck power reporting-wise on the Van Rysel.
I assume the rainbow gauge shows the same problem since MPA isn’t dropping in line with the effort.
Should the trainer also report cadence?
Are you running latest firmware on the Van Rysel?
Do you happen to have power meter pedals you could test with?

Looks to be a visual bug. Can you include some of these screenshots in a message to our support team via email so we can take a closer look?

For specific technical support items like this, it’s best to email us directly & include images/screenshots as well (or steps to reproduce the issue). We do monitor the forums here, but it’s not the best place for us to monitor bug reports.

Thanks!

No, the trainer does not report cadence (while the Elite one does); that’s the main difference between the two. The firmware is updated to the latest release.

I’ve got a crank power meter as well but only supports ANT+ connection (and I couple that with my Garmin Edge for double recording.. The values between the 2 are very well aligned). I’ve also got a couple of SPD assioma pedals I could try with.

The main issue is that the SMART workouts are very hard to complete, because since the MPA is not dropping as it should be the EBC app keeps rising the power to stellar levels and I can not cope with that.

Any other ideas are well accepted, do you think the cadence could be the culprit?

Thanks a lot Scott, I will report that via email to the support team!
