Today MB didn’t work on the 1040. I tried reinstalling it, but it works for a few minutes then freezes, and when I switch pages and return to MB, I get the familiar Garmin logo instead of MB.
I’ve never encountered this problem to the extent that I couldn’t do my training.
I’ve had to stop recording four or five times, changed profiles, created a new profile; I only have the Xert apps, and in the end I even deleted Xert and reinstalled everything, displaying only Magic Bucket on a new, clean profile, but it still didn’t work. I don’t understand; I’m out of ideas.
I really need your help as I can’t do my upcoming training sessions

When you say Garmin logo do you mean the Connect IQ logo, not the Xert logo?
Does it show … or ! next to it?
If you cannot resolve the issue and don’t wish to reset the device, you could use the Planner option to Generate Workout or run Autogen then send that workout to the Garmin to be run using the native workout player on the Garmin.
Another option is to view the Generate Workout tab and note target watts and default duration. Then roughly execute that pattern on you own during your ride. E.g. X intervals @ X watts for approximately X hours with sufficient recoveries.
If Xert Dashboard can be installed without issue you can also display XSS Buckets to monitor filling the buckets. (enable XSS Buckets under XDB settings)
To reset the Garmin device, you have three options.
A. Hold down power button until device resets. (sounds like you’ve tried that already)
B. System, Device Reset, Reset Default Settings.*
C. System, Device Reset, Delete Data and Reset Settings.*
*Make sure to sync the 1040 to Garmin Connect before a system reset as that will support the ability to restore your settings, workouts, courses, etc. Restoring can take a while if you elect this option.
If a Device Reset to factory defaults resolves the issue that means you should avoid installing any firmware updates that caused the problem with Connect IQ.
I didn’t mean to sound like a jerk, I just thought it would help you get more replies. Wish I had an answer to your magic buckets question. The garmin is system is shaky I always have to mess around with it or I’ll get crashed fields
