Magic Buckets Outside With HRM But No Power Meter

Buckets and my road bike is fine - the bike has a power meter and I loved using buckets with it.

However, my gravel bike doesn’t have a power meter. When I ride it with just my HRM, Xert calculates the XSS and low power on it but doesn’t do high or peak - I’ve not tried it with Magic yet.

Does Magic work with just a HRM and not a power meter?

Thanks

Martin

HR wouldn’t be practical to use with Buckets which requires sec by sec power data to work.

Buckets is going to need a power meter to work. That said, you can improve your power estimate on your gravel bike by adding a cheap cadence sensor. Once you add the cadence sensor, you can edit your profile to estimate power from your heart rate and the cadence sensor. It creates the estimate in Xert once you finish your activity.
