Magic Buckets Error

Hi All,

Quick question. I’m struggling with Magic Buckets on my Garmin Edge. I have four activity profiles that I use. Magic buckets and the dashboard work on my Mtb Profile. However on the other’s (road, gravel and indoor) I get an error that my device isn’t registered. My device must be registered if it works on the mtb profile so what am I dong wrong that it isn’t working on the other profiles?

If you run Garmin Connect on your phone and view Data Fields are Magic Buckets and Dashboard listed without any Update indicated?
Are you running Dashboard BETA? (preferred until official release)

So the issue with Magic Buckets was my fault. I guess they eliminated the Beta version of that and I was still using it. Once I changed them all to the non beta Magic Buckets version the field worked.

So now my issue is just with the Dashboard. I made sure all four profiles are using the beta version. I get the fetch error on all indicating I need to save and upload a ride to register my garmin. I’ve done that multiple times and it isn’t working. Is there a different way to register my garmin?

I have Magic Buckets and Dashboard BETA working fine on my 830 outdoor and indoor profiles.
What model Edge do you have?
Is Dashboard BETA open on the Edge when you save/upload a test ride to register it?
Does the “registered” notice appear on xertonline.com shortly after the upload?
If still not working, you could move back to current release of Dashboard which relies on the old username/pw method to authorize on Garmin Connect.

I have an Edge 840. I had the dashboard Beta open, save a ride and it loads on Xertonline but I don’t get any notification that the device is registered. Maybe I should just delete the dashboard beta from the device and try again from scratch.

If that does not help, I suggest you file a request with support@xertonline.com since the file upload should trigger a notification so the issue may be server based.
