Magic Bucket info on garmin watches

Hi everyone,

I have the Magic Buckets field installed on my Garmin Fenix 6 and it works well for the buckets. I just don’t find any information on the info that is actually displayed on the watch (only for the edge etc.):

  • I see the 3 buckets with the amount to aim for as well as my current power, that is pretty clear
  • What is the little triangle in the bottom left (sometimes pointing up, sometimes down)?
  • What is the timer at the bottom?
  • What is the power number below my power output?
  • What is the grey circle with sometimes 0.0 in it and sometimes other numbers, it also moves around the buckets

Thank you in advance for clearing this up

Kind regards,

Magnus.

Dave Brillhart gave me this from the FB users group –

This is a “decoder ring” for the XMB Watch UI. Presumably this athlete already performed a workout today and restarted XMB, so while they are in the START phase, they fetched the prior XSS which is credited in the buckets.

To anticipate questions… WARMUP lasts a few minutes, and if you haven’t started an interval yet, you drop into READY1 phase. Once you start an Interval and back off into Recovery for the set time, and exceed that Recovery time, you’ll enter READY2 state waiting for the next Interval to start when you are ready. Once all your HIGH and PEAK work is done, you’ll enter the EASY state until a few minutes before LOW is complete, at which point you’ll enter COOLDOWN, until FINISHED. On LOW INTENSITY DAYS, you’ll just go into ENDURANCE mode.

Well that’s just brilliant thank you!

Might be worthwhile to include in the official docs…

Thanks again!

Thanks! Should be added to the support doc here:
